Fitcamx 4K Integrated Dash Cam for Kia EV9 Review: A Factory-Look Install

A model-specific 4K dash cam that hides behind the EV9's mirror. Clean install, Wi-Fi app and dual-camera options, at a premium price.

Fitcamx 4K Integrated Dash Cam — Kia EV9 (2024+)

Disclosure: AllMoto Reviews and EV Wholesaler (evwholesaler.com) are owned by the same company, so we make money when you buy through our EV Wholesaler links. We score its products with the same criteria as everything else and point out their weak spots too.

Most dash cams stick to the windshield with a cable snaking down the A-pillar. Fitcamx takes a different approach: a camera housing shaped to replace the trim behind the rear-view mirror, so it looks like it came from the factory. This version is made for the Kia EV9 (2024+).

That clean look matters in a $55,000-plus three-row SUV, and a dash cam is genuinely useful: it records evidence after a collision, and in many cases it helps with insurance claims.

What we like

  • Looks factory. No suction cup and no dangling wire across the glass
  • 4K front recording gives the best chance of reading plates
  • Dual-camera option adds rear coverage for rear-end collisions
  • G-sensor clip locking keeps impact footage from being overwritten
  • Phone app makes it easy to pull a clip at the roadside

What to watch for

  • Price. A good universal dash cam costs a fraction of this. You’re paying a lot for the integrated look.
  • Installation. Fitting the housing means removing mirror trim and connecting power. Comfortable DIYers can do it; everyone else should budget for an installer.
  • Pick the right version. Order LHD for a US car and decide up front whether you want the rear camera.
  • Parking mode and warranty details aren’t spelled out in the listing, so ask the store before buying if those matter to you.

Who should buy it

If you want a dash cam but hate the look of a windshield gadget, this is the cleanest solution for an EV9. If you just want footage on a budget, a quality universal camera will do the same core job for much less.

Where to buy

The Fitcamx EV9 camera is sold by EV Wholesaler in front-only and dual-camera versions.

Verdict

The Fitcamx makes a dash cam look like part of the EV9, and on paper it has the features that matter: 4K front video, impact-triggered clip locking, an app and an optional rear camera. The price and installation effort are the trade-offs.
